Genshin Impact news: Everything we know about Ganyu

Dimapur, Jan. 11 (EMN): Genshin Impact is set to get its newest playable character starting January 12 in the form a bow-wielding cryo character, Ganyu. Ganyu may be the last new character in Genshin Impact before Version 1.3 arrives in February.

Ganyu, a half-human and half-Adeptus 5-star character, first appeared during the Liyue portion of the main storyline of Genshin Impact. Being a Cryo user, Ganyu uses a bow to deal ranged attacks to enemies. An initial look at her stats, bonuses and constellation perks suggests that Ganyu could be capable of dishing out serious damage particularly if combined with a suitable team line-up.

Ganyu seems to be a character that will play an important role in the progression of the game’s storyline. Being closely tied to the gods, Ganyu may be the character who may finally give more answers about the Genshin Impact universe and the game’s unknown God.

Players who have reached at least Adventure Rank 40 in Genshin Impact, and have also completed Archon Quest, Chapter I: Act III – A New Star Approaches, will be able to start Ganyu’s story quest, Sinae Unicornis Chapter.

Ganyu’s banner is called “Adrift in the Harbor” and it will come out in Genshin Impact at 18:00 server time on January 12 and will end on February 2 at 15:00 server time. Ganyu’s banner will also have boosted drop rates for existing characters Xingqui, Xiangling, and Noelle.
