Genshin Impact 1.2 update: List of tips, new characters and more

Dimapur, Dec. 13 (EMN): Genshin Impact, the gacha-based action-adventure role-playing game, has been a huge success for miHoYo since the game was released on Sept. 28, 2020. The game has achieved over 9 million downloads on the Google Play Store alone and that is just the tip of the iceberg since it is also available for the PS4, PC and iOS.

Genshin Impact is going to get even bigger with miHoYo confirming a new playable map, Dragonspine, a frozen mountain range south of Mondstadt. The developers have also released a trailer showcasing two new five-star characters: Albedo and Ganyu. We had previously written about this new development based on leaks by NEP NEP Genshin Impact Leaks and we are happy that our speculation has come true.

miHoYo has since released an article on the PlayStation blog where they have shared official early intel on Dragonspine. The developers have put together valuable info for travellers as to what they can expect once update 1.2 hits all platforms on December 23.

Here are some of the tips and info on the upcoming Genshin Impact 1.2 update that we have made into a list:

1. Dragonspine will feature brand-new immersive environment full of new creatures, mysteries, treasures, and dangers to discover.
2. Dragonespine unlike Mondstadt and Liyue is always in a state of constant cold and gloom.
3. Deep in the mountains, players will be able to uncover the secrets of a lost ancient civilisation with the help of stone slabs, tablets, and relics.
4. A new weather mechanic called “Sheer Cold” has been added which will force players to keep their characters warm while fighting and exploring .
