General observer inspects poll work in Peren

Dimapur, April 2 (EMN): General Observer Alok Nath visited Jalukie in Peren district on April 2 to review ground work and preparations for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections for 2019 in Nagaland. He reviewed the work during a meeting at the GA Rest House in Jalukie, the IPR issued on Tuesday updates about the event
The deputy commissioner of Peren district, Sarita Yadav, along with nodal officers attended the meeting ‘with updated documents, reports and records,’ the IPR stated.

The general observer, along with all nodal officers and sector magistrates, inspected four polling stations too, the IPR added.

Kiphire
Likewise, the general observer for Tuensang, Kiphire, Mon, Mokokchung and Longleng districts, Ravi Jha visited Kiphire district on April 1. He had a round of meetings with officials of election monitoring cells of the district. The meetings were conducted in the deputy commissioner’s office, the IPR stated.

Jha is stated to have ‘expressed his satisfaction’ at the report given by the monitoring cells of Kiphire district.
The official was accompanied by members of the district administration, among others, the IPR stated. They are said to have inspected a number of polling stations in Kiphire town.

According to the IPR, Jha gave suggestions ‘for better arrangements’ for the convenience of voters on voting day.
