Dimapur, May 22 (EMN): The GBs’ Union Dimapur (GBUD) and Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) informed that no colony should enforce its own version/ order of lockdown restrictions within its jurisdiction.
The two organisations urged the colony leaders to give logistic support to the citizens in managing Covid-19 issues in collaboration with DTF and the Health department. As directed by the deputy commissioner of Dimapur on Wednesday, it stated that every colony should adhere to the order and avoid enforcing its own rules.
It also cautioned the public to be disciplined in following SOPs/ guidelines for their own safety.
Meanwhile, the two organisations have lauded the district administration, police department, district task force, doctors and nurses and medical fraternity for working resolutely risking their own lives to protect the citizens.
It also sincerely appreciated K Kikheto Sema, in-charge of Dimapur Covid-19 management, for the concern and initiation in increasing Covid-19 care beds facilities. It also appreciated the private hospital managements for coming forward and giving cooperation in providing facilities in treating positive cases.
The two organisations also appreciated the law enforcing agencies headed by the commissioner of police in keeping the law and order under control. The two organisations further apprised the police department to take stringent action against vehicles plying without any valid reasons violating the lockdown rules.
