Dimapur, April 23 (EMN): Purana Bazaar GBs along with Kikheto Chishi, CAO Caretaker UT-1 of the GPRN/NSCN, conducted a raid on the sale of contraband drugs and IMFL and destroyed in the presence of GBs and elders of Purana Bazaar.
The raid was conducted with an intention to curb illegal practices and business which is destroying the society especially the youth from the influence of such substances and to keep the area free from all kind of illegal activities.
This was stated in a joint statement issued by Pitu Mech, Head GB, and Niuto Awomi, president of Purana Bazaar GBs’ Union.
The GBs appealed to the citizens of the area to be vigilant about such activities and warned that it would not tolerate such activities within its jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, the GBs have appreciated the efforts initiated by Kikheto Chishi to contain such nefarious activities and assured its full cooperation even in the days to come.
The GBs also assured its full cooperation towards any organisation or national workers willing to undertake such steps in containing illegal activities that are destroying the very fabric of the society.
