DIMAPUR — Additional Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Atsungba Walling inaugurated the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, at Town Hall, Mokokchung, on Tuesday.
In his address, the ADC encouraged the public to visit the event to support local and national artisanal community and experience the rich cultural heritage displayed through handmade works, a DIPR report stated.
The exhibition and sale will run for seven days, from January 20 to the 26th. Residents and visitors can visit the bazaar daily between 2 pm and 8 pm.

“This prestigious event aims to provide a platform for artisans from various parts of the country to showcase their craftsmanship.
“The bazaar will feature a diverse range of authentic handicrafts and handloom products, offering a unique opportunity for the citizens of Mokokchung to witness and purchase traditional arts directly from the creators,” the report stated.
