Gamlin appointed new Chief Secy of Arunachal Pradesh

PTI ITANAGAR, MARCH 8 Shakuntala Doley Gamlin, a 1984- batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh replacing Ramesh Negi. Negi, who is also from AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories) cadre of 1984 batch , has been transferred to the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) with immediate effect, a Union Home Ministry notification said yesterday. Before her new appointment, Gamlin, first woman IAS officer from Mishing tribe of Assam, served as Principal Secretary (Power) in New Delhi. She is the daughter of former Assam MP Lalit Kumar Doley and wife of former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin.
