G Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy to begin on November 17

KOHIMA — The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) has announced that the G Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy (12th Kohima Open Tournament) will be held from November 17 to the 20th at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground).

According to an update, the champion in the men’s category will receive a cash prize of INR 1.50 lakh, while the runner-up will be awarded INR 80,000.

The semifinalists will each receive INR 25,000. In the women’s category, the champion team will get INR 80,000, while the runner-up will receive INR 50,000, and the semi-finalists will be given INR 15,000 each.

Individual prizes for the best spiker and best setter in both the men’s and women’s categories have been set at INR 5,000 each.

Entry forms for the tournament are available at Sports World, main town Kohima; Northern Sports, Sepfiizou Kohima; Star Sports, BOC Kohima; and G-Sports, Chümoukedima. The last date for form submission is November 12.
