Dimapur, Oct. 4 (EMN): The Wokha Circle Students’ Union (WCSU) has banned fund raising and voluntary donations within Wokha circle, a press release informed on Friday.
The union has banned selling of badges, ticket calendar and any kind of donation by NGOs, unions and individuals without the permission of the union, it informed. It also stated that shopkeepers and the public of Wokha were facing many ‘untold problems’ because of such activities.
The union has therefore sought the cooperation of the district administration and the police to assist in checking such acts, the statement read. Organisations found violating the union’s resolution will be fined and “stern action will be taken,” it informed.
