Dimapur, Aug. 2 (EMN): All may not be well with the ongoing Indo-Naga talks, if the latest statement from the NSCN (IM) is anything to go by. A press release from the group stated that a joint council meeting of steering committee, council of kilonsers, tatars, HoDs and brigadiers and above was held at Hebron on Friday, in the backdrop of the latest formal talks held with the Centre “which has not gone down well with NSCN negotiators led by Th Muivah.” It stated that the NSCN (IM) was sufficiently aware of the divisive policy of the enemy from within and outside, and would not allow any adversary to confuse and divide the Nagas. “The NSCN is profoundly convinced of the absolute righteousness of the Naga national struggle in defence of their historical right over their land and the political right to determine their future, despite all vociferous noise to cause confusion among the Naga people desperately designed by the adversaries and the deep elements among the Nagas, who are dancing to the tune of their political masters. “The NSCN, however make its position very clear that they shall stand true to the end till the Nagas achieve an honourable solution to the Indo-Naga political conflict. NSCN shall uphold the 3rd August, 2015 Framework Agreement and strive to conclude the ongoing Indo-Naga political negotiation honourably. Come what may, the NSCN shall unwaveringly stand on the Naga national decision,” read the statement.
