Fuel price touches all-time high; petrol priced at INR 106.27 per litre in Kohima

The prices of petrol and diesel prices touched an all-time high across India on Friday after rates were hiked by 35 paise per litre each for three consecutive days.

The price of petrol rose to highest-ever in Delhi at INR 106.89 per litre and INR 95.62 per litre for diesel, while petrol was priced at INR 112.78 per litre and diesel at INR 103.63 per litre in Mumbai, according to Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL).

The largest state-owned oil corporation in the country updated on Friday that the price of petrol was INR 106.27 per litre and INR 98.58 per litre for diesel in Nagaland’s capital Kohima.

Among the north-eastern states, the price of petrol was INR 107.10 per litre and diesel INR 99.65 per litre in Agartala; INR 103.95 per litre for petrol and INR 95.02 per litre for diesel in Aizawl; petrol at INR 107.45 per litre, diesel at INR 97.85 per litre in Gangtok; while petrol was priced at INR 102.87 per litre and diesel INR 95.39 per litre in Guwahati.

In Imphal, petrol was priced at INR 108.14 per litre and diesel INR 96.52 per litre on Friday; petrol at INR 99.13 per litre, diesel at INR 92.33 per litre in Itanagar; while the price of petrol was INR 105.84 per litre and diesel INR 101.82 per litre in Shillong.

The price of petrol has touched INR 100-a-litre mark in all major cities of the country, and price of diesel has also breached INR 100 per litre in several states.

Petrol price increased by INR 5.7 per litre since September 28, while diesel rates increased by INR 7 per litre since September 24.
