Dimapur, April 22 (EMN): The district administration of Mon conducted training on contact listing and tracing for frontline workers including Covid-19 District  Control Room, police and health workers on April 20.

Resource person, Dr. Kumkiuba said the main objective of contact listing and tracing is to trace all the suspected persons who have come in contact with Covid-19 positive patients and to quarantine or isolate them, an update received here on Wednesday stated.

Explaining the plan for district, he said listing and tracing of the suspected persons is very important to contain the spread of the virus.

District Covid-19 war room set up in Mon

Mon Deputy Commissioner Thavaseelan K on Wednesday launched the  district Covid-19 war room.

The war room was set up at DRDA hall, comprising officials from district administration, police, Health & Family Welfare staff and various line departments of the district, an update from the DC informed.

The war room acts as a single point of information collection in addition to monitoring people under quarantine on daily basis. It is training various team members and volunteers in contact listing and tracing and cluster containment strategy, said Thavaseelan

Four sub-divisional war rooms have been set up at Tobu,  Aboi, Tizit, and Naginimora sub-divisions to function as an auxiliary of and in tandem with the District Covid-19 war room.
