Dimapur, May 1 (EMN): Amigos FC beat Kohima Eagles 3-2 during the third quarter-final match on Wed. May 1.
The afternoon match witnessed the first half dominated by Amigos FC leading the game with three goals coming from the boot of Lima (one goal) and Chaba (two goals).
In the second half, a determined Kohima Eagles FC completely dominated the match with consistent attacks. Kohima Eagles made a comeback with two goals from the boot of Khewetelhi Thopi and Keneinguze Pienyu.
But the effort was a little too late as Amigos FC took the game away from Kohima Eagles.
In the fourth quarter-final match, Sirhima Youth and Students’ Union (SYSU) lost 0-2 to Thunderbolt FC.
The match witnessed equal attacking and defensive football from both the teams. The standoff was broken with the first goal coming in the 26th minute from the boots of Aben of Thunderbolt FC.
In the second half, SYSU determined attacks were foiled with good defending from Thunderbolt FC.
The match was sealed when the second goal for Thunderbolt FC was scored by Kito in the additional added time.
