Free training cum workshop on Karbi folk song concludes

Diphu, Sep. 2 (EMN): Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Cultural Affairs department in collaboration with Rasinja Asong has organised closing programme on Free Training cum workshop on Karbi folk song (kecharhe) held at the office premise of Rasinja Asong.
Free training cum workshop on Karbi folk song (Kecharhe) was held on 13-17 May, 2017 where 38 participants took discourse of the Karbi Folk song. The training was attended by Karbi women, this folk song (Kacherhe) is usually sings and recite songs by the elderly woman in the time of ritual.
Later, the programme was grace by Rupsing Teron, KAAC executive member.
Addressing in the program Teron said that he will assist Rasinja Asong for promotion or Karbi folk song in the contemporary world, with the advancement of the society lesser are seen who can sing and recite the karbi folk song.
He also appreciated Rasinja Asong (organisation) for taking the good step for promoting of Karbi folk song. The organiser also distributed certificate to the participants in the closing program.
