Wokha, April 5 (EMN):
Hundreds of migrant workers, daily wage earners and stranded students, on April 5, received free rice and pulses from Wokha district administration and Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) whose livelihood were affected by the lockdown in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The emergency relief was distributed under the supervision of the district administration, police, Wokha District Chamber of Commerce and Industries, officials from ADS and District Project Associate, DDMA Wokha.

A press update from the district administration informed that 458 migrant workers, daily wage earners and 14 stranded students were provided the relief.

The district administration informed that relief materials would be distributed in all the sub-divisions, wards, colonies and villages in the district in coordination with the concerned authorities/councils in the coming days.
