Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): Free food grain was distributed to ration card holders of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) scheme under Daklane colony in Kohima on Wednesday. According to a press update, president of Daklane Women Organisation, Ali Tungoe appreciated the government and Daklane panchayat for distributing the free ration to the needy people during the lockdown period.
She said that under PMGKAY, 10 kg food grains per household was distributed for two months. She also thanked the government for helping the stranded students, daily wagers and needy people in the colony, it read.
