Free medical camp held at Longsa village

Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): BJP Wokha district organised a free medical camp at Longsa Cultural Hall, Longsa village on Monday as part of the commemoration of eight years of BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.

The camp was held in collaboration with the office of the CMO, Wokha and sponsored by Renponthung Ezung, State Executive Member BJP Nagaland.

Ezung, in his speech, said that the motive behind the free medical camp at his village was for everyone to stay fit and healthy.

Meanwhile, Deputy CMO, Zuben Kikon, thanked the people for the large gathering, which he said showed their interest prioritising their health. A dental, leprosy and malaria team as well as all team members for all kinds of blood test like diabetes, HIV, TB and other related diseases were part of the camp. He said that out of 11 person who had died due to COVID-19 in Wokha district, nine people died because of not taking the vaccine.

Out of 459 total positive COVID cases in Wokha district, he said that more than 300 people were those who had not taken the jab. 80 people who had taken the vaccine were also diagnosed with COVID- 19 related issues but they didn’t visit hospital and were healed from home with no complications.

Meanwhile, president of BJP Wokha, Y Kikon in his welcome address to the gathering thanked Ezung for helping his village people by sponsoring the free health camp.
