Dimapur, April 2 (EMN): A free eye camp and cataract surgery was conducted at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital Wokha from March 27 to 30. The programme was organized by District Health Society, Dimapur and sponsored by National Programmme for Control of Blindness Nagaland (NPCB).
The camp was conducted under the supervision of CMO, Wokha Dr. Enrithung Lotha and Dr. Imna Pokyim both eye specialist and six member team from Dimapur District Hospital.
M/S, Wokha Dr. Robin Lotha advised the patients to strictly follow the direction given by the doctors to avoid complication and to take the prescribed medicines on time for speedy recovery.
A total of 232 patients suffering from poor vision were screened during the camp, out of which 30 free cataract operations was done. The patients were also given free medicine and spectacles.
State Programme Officer NPCB, Dr.Ponsukui also attended the camp.
