DIMAPUR — The director of Food and Civil Supplies, Chubawati Chang, on April 23 called upon the fair price shop dealers to with fairness, transparency and accountability in serving the 3,32,2112 ration card holders of both AAY and PHH in Nagaland.

Chang stated this during the first annual session of the All Nagaland Fair Price Shop Association (ANFPSA) held at Orchid Hall of Hotel Saramati in Dimapur on the theme “Serve in dignity.”

The director, who was the special guest of the programme, encouraged the members to strengthen the association with support and cooperation and deliver best service to the entire beneficiaries of Nagaland, stated an update from the association.

While emphasising on National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013 and its implementation in Nagaland, he called upon the dealers to always work in line with the guideline given by the government through the department and endeavour to achieve the goal set by the ministry. He also shared on the mandatory reforms directives from the ministry such as road optimisation, ePoS device integration to weighing scale, modernisation of fair price shop and its viabilities in implementing NFSA 2013.

Meanwhile, the association has elected new team of office bearers for the tenure 2024-27 led by V Phushika Aomi as president, Bedusai Theluo and Vekehiekho Kintso as vice presidents, G Meijiang as general secretary, Kahuto P Awomi and Meribeni Lotha as assistant general secretaries, Shikuto Yeptho as finance secretary, Vepranulu Nyekha as media secretary, Ezanbemo Yanthan and P Nokpan Konyak as organising secretaries and Toshi Aier and Nyamto Konyak as executive members and Hotoshe Sumi as advisor.

Report stated that district unit members from Dimapur, Kohima, Mon, Phek, Peren, Wokha, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Chümoukedima and Niuland attended the programme.
