Mokokchung, June 26 (EMN):
Four villages namely Longsemdang, Moalenden, Khensa, and Salulemang in Mokokchung district have achieved 100% Covid vaccination of all eligible beneficiaries, said an official from the Health department on Saturday.

As per a reliable source, sensitisation and mobilisation in Longsemdang, Moalenden, and Khensa villages were spearheaded by Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) whereby the medical team could administer the jabs to all eligible beneficiaries. However, Salulemang was purely initiated by Chuchuyimpang PHC to achieve 100 percent target.

The source also disclosed that the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Mokokchung, would be initiating a vaccination sensitisation and awareness programme in all the villages by next week onwards followed with vaccination drives to achieve maximum vaccinations in the rural area.

Meanwhile, a special vaccination drive for both 18 years plus and 45 years plus (1st and 2nd doses) was conducted in all the 18 wards of Mokokchung municipal area and adjoining villages of Mokokchung and Chuchuyimpang on June 25 and 26.

The main objective of the drive was to provide easy access to the eligible beneficiaries to avail jabs in their respective community centres.

As per the report, more than 4000 jabs were administered during the two special vaccination drives at 20 identified locations.
