Four health centres inaugurated in Tuensang

Dimapur, May 30 (EMN):
Directorate of Health and Family Welfare has inaugurated sub-centre in Wansoi, sub-centre in Dan, sub-centre in Old Pangsha and new building of primary health centre in New Pangsha village under Noklak block in Tuensang district.

The health centres were inaugurated by a team from the directorate of Health and Family Welfare led by the Principal Director Dr. Vikeyei Losu along with Dr. Thangloi Lam, SPO (NHM), Dr. Ahu Sekhose, SPO (NLEP) and other members during its visit to Tuensang district from May 27 to 29.

The Principal Director, Dr.Vikeyei Losu, inaugurated the health centres in the presence of CMO Tuensang Dr. Pangjung Sangtam and other team members.

The Principal Director, while speaking during the inaugural function of PHC new building in New Pangsha village, urged the villagers, NGOs, and church leaders to coordinate and help the PHC staff for its smooth functioning.

The team also visited PHC Kuthur, Nokhu sub-centre and the site upgradation of PHC Nokhu.

A free health camp was also conducted at New Pangsha on May 28. The health camp was conducted by Dr. Senti, MO (PHC), Dr. Immanuel, MO (MMU), and staff of MMU Tuensang. A total number of 166 OPD were registered during the camp.

In Noklak CHC, a two-day free health camp was conducted on May 28 and 29. The Principal Director, SMO (CHC) Noklak, Medical Superintendent (MS), gynaecologist from District Hospital Tuensang and staff from CHC Noklak provided health services during the camp. Altogether, 364 OPD were registered including 1 major operation and 18 minor operations.
