Four buildings gutted in separate fire incidents

Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): Four buildings were reportedly gutted in three separate fire incidents in Dimapur and one in Mon district this week.

An update received from Fire and Emergency Services, Kohima, on Wednesday informed that three fire incidents were due to short circuit.

On receiving a fire call at 11:12 pm on June 7 from Duncan Bosti in Dimapur, the Fire and Emergency Services mobilised a quick response team from fire station, Dimapur West and contained the fire.

Property worth INR 2 lakh approximately was lost in the fire incident; however, no casualty was reported, it informed.

In an another incident, on June 8 at around 3 pm, the response team from Fire Station, Dimapur West averted the fire that broke out at Notun Bosti.

Property worth INR 2 lakh approximately was lost in the fire incident.

While fighting the fire, one fire personnel got injured, it informed.

Also, another fire incident was reported from Diphupar ‘A’, B Khel on June 10, wherein property worth INR 25 lakh was lost.

On receiving a call, a quick response team from Fire Station, Chumoukedima reached the spot and contained the fire. The cause of the fire was unknown while filing this report, it informed.

Timely intervention of fire personnel managed to put the fire incident under control and prevented from further spreading to adjoining buildings, it stated.

On June 9, at 6:20 pm, a fire broke out from Shanthan ward of Mon district. Fire and Emergency Services mobilised a quick response team from Fire Station, Mon and averted the fire.

Property worth INR 1.5 lakh was lost in the fire incident; however, no casualty was reported.
