Dimapur, April 24 (EMN): The future of the people in the state is in your hands, and how you are trained and groomed at ATI will decide how you deliver the justice to the people, said the commissioner-secretary, Abhishek Singh.
He was speaking as a special guest at the inaugural programme for combine foundation course for NCS (P) 2018 batch and NSS 48th batch at Multipurpose Hall, ATI on April 24. DIPR updated bout the programme on Tuesday.
The training is aimed at inculcating values significant for your carriers, said Abhishek Singh congratulating the officers and trainees for their success.
He called upon the gathering to strive to ensure a better opportunity for children – education, health and even other sectors, as wthey venture into their new assigned task.
While administer programmes, take decisions or in implement schemes, Singh advised that gender equality and balance has to be at the back of one’s head.
Life in the outpost will be tough Singh pointed, urging the Nagaland Civil Service Officers to retrospect the reason of them joining the service. Take your assignments as an opportunity, and create your own works to stay active, he encouraged the trainees.
He also encouraged them to focus on how to improve the functioning of the government and provide better assistance to the society. Lamenting the poor work culture in some departments at secretariat, he called on the trainees to work towards making a difference in such areas.
Singh challenged the officers and trainees to learn the basic skills and operation of computers, besides making the optimum use of social media.
The main objective of the training is to acquaint and inculcate in the trainees the spirit of good governance, and the basic knowledge of the political, social and economic scenario in the state, director, of Administrative Training Institute, R Asenla Keitzar said.
Besides exposure trips it aimed at widening your horizon and providing a handout exposure, the training will also provide the opportunity to interact with varied personalities from different fields, she added.
Assuring a comfortable stay at ATI, she reiterated the department’s support at every stage of the training.
It is not your brilliance but the plan of God that you are in the place you are in, additional director, ATI, Kevin Zehol, said. Calling the 45 trainees fortunate, he expressed optimism that the trainees will have fond memories to take back and cherish after their services.
