DIMAPUR — The Administrative Training Institute (ATI) conducted the inaugural programme for the foundation course of the 55th Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) (Probationers) batch of 2025 at ATI, Kohima, on November 21.

According to an update, the programme was chaired by Peter Konyak, lecturer. A round of self-introductions was given by the trainees, followed by an overview of the course by Kaholi Sema, joint director and course coordinator.

An address was delivered by V Shashank Shekhar, director general, ATI, additional chief secretary (Agriculture) and agricultural production commissioner.

In his address, he congratulated the trainees on their success and stated that such success can be achieved only by continuous hard work over their entire student life. He also acknowledged the unseen contributions of their families and communities.

He urged them to give back to society by setting an example as role model employees and citizens. He appealed to the trainees to conduct themselves with integrity, live up to the expectations, and continue to work hard.

Stating that the Secretariat is the think tank of the state government where all policies are shaped, he suggested they should make use of the opportunity to serve society.

Forty NSS trainees who cleared the recently conducted Nagaland Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination (NPSC CSE) will be attached to ATI for a period of four months of intensive foundation training.
