Dimapur, Jan. 31 (EMN): Former legislator Neiwang Konyak has passed away on Wed. after a brief illness at a private clinic in Dimapur.
Konyak was elected to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) in 2003 as a candiate of the Naga People's Front from the Aboi assembly constituency in Mon district. He was appointed a cabinet minister holding the portfolio of Veterinary & Animal Husbandary and Parliamentary Affairs during the 10th NLA.
Konyak was reelected from the same constituency in 2008 and inducted minister for School Education & SCERT.
