Dimapur, Feb. 23 (EMN): Former parliamentary secretary Dr. Nihoshe Yepthomi has advocated inculcating the spirit of willingness towards one another and to set a trend of unity in society for the younger generations to emulate.
Yeptho stated this at the 10th biennial session of the Zunheboto Tokukujomi Kuqhakulu (ZTK) on February 22 at the Agri Expo site in Dimapur, on the theme “Kuqhape akeu kivi.”
Yepthomi, who was the special guest, also stressed on the importance of mother tongue and literature in upholding one’s cultural identity. He called upon the people to do away with things that degrade the society and to bring about a change in attitude and character in order to ensure a positive and progressive society.
Atoli K Sema, director of Social Welfare, urged the members to lead by good examples for the betterment of the Naga society.
Exhorting the gathering, Dr. Kheshito Zhimo, medical superintendent of District Hospital Dimapur, said one should not be held back by their bygones but must come together and work with joined hands for a better tomorrow.
A new team of office bearers led by Rotokha Zhimo as chairman, Hokiye Zhimo as vice chairman, and Akito Murru as general secretary was elected for the term 2020-2022.
