Dimapur, April 4 (EMN): Former deputy speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Levi Rengma, who lost the previous Nagaland assembly elections on NPP ticket, has joined the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC). A statement from the president of NPPC, K Therie on Thursday informed that besides Rengma, other ‘leaders’ including Hopson Snock Dr. K Mangyangpula Chang and GK Rengma have also joined the party. “In the most crucial time when secularism and our culture, customs and identity, are under threat, they have taken a conscious decision to strengthen and fight against the monstrous designs of BJP not for power or money, but to defend our people and to carry forward the Naga political negotiations for early settlement,” he stated.
