Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): Former drug addicts from Mon town with support of Konyak Baptist Church Mon (KBCM) youth department met the DEO and Deputy Commissioner, Mon, K Thavaseelan, on December 8 and handed over one of the biggest Christmas stars in Nagaland. The star was donated as a gesture of gratitude towards the clean election campaign in Mon district.
The star, measuring more than 12 feet in height and width, was switched on by the DC in the presence of all the office employees.
The DC exhorted the employees and members of the public to draw inspiration from the gesture and spread the message of clean election campaign in all possible ways across the district.
The star has been placed on top of the DC office’s building which is visible from across Mon town with clean election message boldly displayed.
