‘Food Fusion’ offering Naga dishes opens in Kohima
DIMAPUR — ‘Food Fusion,’ a new restaurant offering some authentic Naga dishes alongside galho and regular snacks menu was recently opened at Kezieke in Kohima.
The menu features Naga dishes like smoked pork cooked with anishi, bamboo shoot, axone, beef innards, and fresh pork. It also offers regular snacks ranging from noodles to dumplings and beverages to roti sabji, an update from ‘Food Fusion’ stated.
Having passion in cooking different cuisines led Shekhonu Rhakho to open own restaurant in partnership with her friend, Samanier Jamir. Sharing her passion in cooking, Rhakho said she used to volunteer in cooking dishes in churches and schools gathering. Besides cooking the Naga dishes, she also developed interest in making regular snacks, which have been incorporated in the menu.
A self-taught chef, Rhakho earlier managed a restaurant in Kohima for three years. She shared that to start a business of her own has been at the back of her mind for sometime but was held back due to the lack of fund. It was her love for cooking that she took loans from a bank to venture into the restaurant business.
Sekholu Rhakho, deaconess at the Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kohima, Kitsobozou, said the dedicatory prayer.
