Food festival to bring Asia’s cuisine to Dimapur

Dimapur, Sep. 30: A food festival named the ‘Pan Asian Food Festival’ with chef Manee Phaprom, an award-winning chef from Thailand, will be cooking for foodies and gourmets alike at the Naga Bowl Express restaurant, located at Baapunk Colony in Dimr.
Pan Asian Food Festival will be conducted from October 2 to the 8th at the restaurant. The restaurant will be open from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. One can enjoy Thai, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese food prepared by Phaprom.
Phaprom has experience of over 40 years and has been working in reputed five-star hotels in India for over 20 years.
Since the first time she started working in India, she always felt a very close connection with the Northeast people, she said. She has mentored north-eastern chefs. Besides, she always wanted to visit the Northeast ‘as we look alike and even the food habits are somewhat similar which is spicy and pungent.’
Speaking to media persons during an interaction, the Naga Bowl Express proprietor said the Pan Asian Food Festival is being organized for foodies to experience various Asian foods, and at reasonable prices for each.
