FLC of Electoral Voting Machines in Karbi Anglong from September 10
DIPHU — The Deputy Commission of Karbi Anglong, Madhumita Bhagawati announced that the First Level Check (FLC) of Electoral Voting Machines (EVMs) for the forthcoming Parliamentary election under three Legislative Assembly Constituencies of Diphu, Howraghat and Bokajan, will be conducted from Sep. 10 onwards.
A press conference was held at the official chamber of Deputy Commissioner, where Bhagawati talked about EVMs.
As per the instruction of the Election Commission of India (ECI), Bhagawati said that the checking of EVMs for Karbi Anglong will begin after necessary arrangements like installing CCTV cameras, video recording facilities etc., are made.
The DC also informed that representatives of state and national registered political parties will be present while checking the EVMs.
There are 616 Ballot Units (BU), 595 Control Units (CU) and 637 Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) stored in the warehouse.
She also informed that the publication of integrated and amalgamated draft roll will be on December 1, 2023; period for filling of claims and objections between December 1 to the 30th, 2023; disposal of claims and objections between December 9 to January 15, 2024; and the final publication of electoral roll on January 31, 2024.
