KOHIMA — The fixture for the Nagaland Women Futsal League 2026, which is scheduled from May 11 to the 16th at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima, was drawn on Saturday. A total of eight teams will participate in the second edition.
The eight teams were divided into two categories, each containing four teams. Group A consists of Kohima Red Tigresses, Pink Panthers Kohima, Puiteing FC Jalukie Town, and SC Nagaland. Group B comprises United Girls Kohima, SFS Football Academy Medziphema, and Football Plus Jalukie.

This was announced during a press conference in Kohima on Saturday. The Nagaland Football Association, in partnership with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, is organising the league.
President of the Nagaland Football Association, Neibou Sekhose, who is also the tournament director, informed that the two groups will play league matches followed by play-offs to give all teams an opportunity to play.
He stated that in the country, women are well ahead of men in football as well as in futsal and thanked the Department of Youth Resources and Sports for focusing on women's football. He added that the All India Football Federation is also now focusing on women's football across the country, including Nagaland.
Treasurer of the Nagaland Football Association and technical committee member Roko Angami noted that the winner for this edition will receive INR 60,000, the second position will receive INR 50,000, and the third prize is INR 30,000. Individual categories like best player, best defender, best goalkeeper, and best team discipline will also be awarded.
Kevilebei Zashümo, state coach and department representative, informed that the reporting date for the teams is May 11, with the opening ceremony at 6 pm at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima on the same day.
