Five injured in road mishap

Correspondent KOHIMA, OCTOBER 15 AT least five persons, including two women, were injured, one of them seriously when the vehicle (Bolero) they were travelling in collided with a truck along the national highway near Kigwema village, Kohima on Tuesday. The Bolero was coming from Senapati.Sources said the accident occurred as the Bolero (MN03P-1983) collided with a deeper truck (NL01K-0460) coming from opposite direction on National Highway 29. The Bolero belonged to the pastor of Poumai Baptist Church, Senapati. One of the women passengers, identified as Abune (54), sustained serious injuries on the head and the thigh. She along with other four inured were rushed to Naga Hospital Kohima by passersby. Abune is said to be admitted in ICU while others were released after first aid.
