DIMAPUR — The Government Middle School (GMS), Gaili, will be organising the 1st Inter-School Chess Tournament for Ngwalwa Circle on August 22 under the aegis of Sr. SDEO Peren and the Nagaland Chess Association.
This one-day Rapid Chess event marks the first-ever inter-school chess competition in Peren district, stated an update.
The tournament will follow the Swiss League format with nine rounds, using a time control of 15 minutes per player with a 5-second increment per move.

There will be ten individual prizes, along with a special Team Champion Certificate for the school that secures the highest number of prize winners.
Registration is open to all government and private schools under Ngwalwa Circle. Interested players may register by paying the entry fee of INR 50 to Lamneinem at 7005119528.
The tournament will be directed by Chiheiding Haikube, head teacher of GMS Gaili, with Mengise Haikam serving as the chief arbiter, supported by a panel of arbiters.
