First Covid-19 positive case detected in Noklak district

Dimapur, May 21(EMN): Nagaland’s youngest district Noklak detected first Covid-19 case after one person from Nokyan village was tested positive for the virus at CHC, Noklak on Friday, informed the deputy commissioner and chairman of DTF Noklak, Reny Welfred through a notification.

In view of the development, the official has ordered sealing of house no. 59 in Nokyan village and male ward CHC, Noklak with immediate effect until further orders, as a preventive measure to contain the spread of Covid-19, on the recommendation of the SMO and CHC Noklak.

The notice stated that only authorised personnel would be permitted to enter the premises for medical and essential exigencies.

Any person violating this containment measures will be liable to be prosecuted as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the disaster management Act 2005, besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC, it added.
