Dimapur, March 2 : The first biannual meeting of Dimapur Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) was held at ARTC & S, Dimapur, under the chairmanship of Brigader Gurjap Singh, Commandant ARTC & S on February 27.
Secretary of TOLIC, Lt Col Praveen Pallath, delivered welcome speech and Naib Subedar (Hindi Translator) Deshraj of ARTC & S conducted the meeting. Representatives from TOLIC member offices presented inputs on progressive use of the official language in their respective offices.
Assessing the progress regarding implementation of Hindi in Central Government Offices in Dimapur, Brig Gurjap Singh stressed on importance of progressive use of Hindi and exhorted all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding publicity and implementation of the official language policy. He also emphasized that Hindi should be implemented by incentive and inspiration in all Central Government Offices.
Naib Subedar Deshraj applauded the efforts of the members of TOLIC Dimapur for wide publicity of the official language. He also highlighted the importance of the progressive use of Hindi in Central Government offices and requested all the members to implement all Hindi incentive schemes introduced by the Government of India in their respective offices.
In order to enhance the spirit of healthy competition amongst the offices of Central Govt, TOLIC Shield Scheme 2015-2016 was introduced. In which first three member offices were adjudged as first, second and third in order of implementation of official Language Policy.
Office of the DIG, Group Centre, CRPF, Khatkhati, Headquarters, 11 Tactical Air Centre, Indian Air Force and 32 Assam Rifles were awarded first, second and third shield respectively. No 1 Maint Group Assam Rifles, Headquarters 6 Sector Assam Rifles, No 1 Workshop Assam Rifles, Headquarters, Chief Engineer, Sevak Project, Dimapur and Central Bank of India, Dimapur were also given commendation certificate for their good work in the field of official language implementation.
The meeting was attended by 35 members of Central Government offices situated in Dimapur.
