First AICC National Coordinator in Northeast

IMPHAL — For the first time in Northeast, a young energetic advocate Runashree Saikia has been appointed as a National Coordinator of All India Congress Committee (AICC)’s Social Media and Digital Platforms.

Runashree Saikia, a practicing civil lawyer in Gauhati High Court is a resident of Muliabari, Digboii and spouse of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee’s Social Media Department chief Malemkhomba Salam.

Saikia started working for the party since 2012 as Delhi State Secretary NSUI, Student wing of AICC. She has worked for the party’s Social Media and Digital Platforms during Assam Assembly Election 2022 and Manipur Assembly Election 2023.

Along with Saikia, 34 other National Coordinators and 2 national convenors of the party’s Social Media and Digital Platforms were also appointed, according to a press release issued by AICC’s general secretary KC Venugopal on Monday.
