Fire razes workshop in Dimapur

Dimapur, Nov. 17 (EMN): A fire broke out at a vehicle workshop in Dimapur on Tuesday afternoon, damaging property including a Maruti 800.

An update from the directorate of Fire and Emergency Services informed that three fire tenders were deployed to Khamo workshop at 4th Mile near Diphupar police station in Dimapur on receiving a fire call at around 1:02 pm on Tuesday.

It mobilised a quick response team from the fire station at Chümoukedima and Dimapur (Central) to control the fire. One Maruti 800 was gutted and property worth approximately INR 2 lakh was lost in the inferno. However, there were no reports of casualty, it informed.

The cause of fire was due to leakage of oil while work was in progress at the workshop.
