Dimapur, Feb. 9 (EMN): A fire that broke out at Neisatuo colony in Dimapur on Feb. 9 has reportedly razed seven thatched houses, and affecting around 22 families.
The fire was stated to have occurred at around 2 pm. The cause of the inferno is suspected to be a short circuit. The exact cause however could not be ascertained, Fire department officials informed.
Five fire tenders were pressed into action. It took the Fire personnel almost one and a half-hour to control the inferno, it was informed. No casualties were reported at the time this news report was being filed.

The Dimapur district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Sushil Kumar Patel visited the spot and gave an amount of INR 44,000 in cash to the affected families as immediate relief, a report from the Dimapur IPR division informed.
