Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): A first information report (FIR) has been filed against Alavizo Rurhie for an alleged illegal operation of LPG business without permit.

Alavizo Rurhie is the proprietor of M/S Sangci Indane, Gramin Vitrak, an IOC Ltd appointed LPG distributor. It was alleged that he had been illegally operating the LPG business in the Medziphema area, the FIR to the Medziphema OC stated.

The FIR filed by Selie Seyie, Kedokhoto Seyie and Ngukato Swu Sema alleged that he had been issued NOC from the Addl. DC Medziphema which “expressed willingness from the administration as there is public demand” but was not an LPG extended delivery centre mandatory permit.

It stated that he did not have the ‘statutory Explosive Acts terms and conditions, norms and guidelines for such centers from the IOC Ltd.’ It further claimed that Rurhie’s LPG Licensed godown and showroom are located at Poilwa, Peren district and therefore he had no legal customers at Medziphema area to sell LPG refills without LPG card and other statutory required norms.

It was also alleged that he regularly received his LPG truck loads from Chumoukedima Bottling Plant for Poilwa village and unloaded them all at the Medziphema.

It said that he had more than 3,000 LPG customers as of date through “illegal manipulations, out of which only less than 200 customers were from the legally authorised counter of Poilwa Village or Peren District, the remaining customers of more than 2,800 being illegally managed from Jotsoma, Khonoma, Mezoma, Sechu Zubza, Peducha, Sechuma, Kiruphe A and B, and Kohima.

Rurhie was also been accused of setting up an extended LPG delivery point and sale counter at Jotsoma village P0, PS Kohima without valid permit from concerned authorities, and the All Kohima Indane Dealer’s Association (AKIDA) gave a complaint following which the signboard was removed.

The petitioners therefore urged for prompt action for the interest of the public.
