Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN):
A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against ‘Super Bus Counter' in Dimapur for ‘illegally collecting extra fare’ from passengers travelling from Dimapur to Mon.

The FIR was filed by one Laipha Konyak at East police station in Dimapur on October 17.

According to the FIR, the bus fare from Dimapur to Mon was INR 600 but after the lockdown, the All Nagaland Private Bus Unions (ANPBU) had announced a new fare chart and increased the fare from INR 600 to INR 800.

The complainant stated that the Super Bus Counter in Dimapur was charging INR 900 per passenger.

The officer- in-charge of East police station confirmed to Eastern Mirror that the FIR has been filed and that they are 'looking into the matter'.

According to the revised bus fares issued by the ANPBU in the month of September, and an order dated August 31, by Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, the rate of passenger fare from Dimapur to Mon was priced at INR 800 per head.
