Final phase of election training held in Dimapur, Chümoukedima

DIMAPUR — In view of the forthcoming general elections to Lok Sabha 2024, the third phase of polling personnel training was held at Government Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima, on Monday.

ADC and AEO, Chümoukedima, Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo, along with ADCs and AEOs of Medziphema and Niuland, visited the training programme.

During the visit, Wideo instructed the polling personnel on the procedures to be followed at the booths during the polling day. They were also instructed on how to end the polling process and how to securely handle the machines while returning them. The polling personnel were given ID cards and appointment orders at the end of the training session.

The third and final phase of training for the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha elections for the Dimapur district concluded at Dimapur Government College on April 15.

Group familiarisation and election duty certificates were issued to various presiding officers and polling officers for Dimapur I, Dimapur II, and Dimapur-III assembly constituencies during the training. The polling personnel were equipped with essential knowledge on electoral procedures, handling electronic voting machines (EVMs) and voter identification.
