Fighters come face-to-face ahead of Apex Combat Championship

DIMAPUR — Ahead of the much-awaited bouts, mixed martial art fighters competing in the Apex Combat Championship (ACC), came face-to-face during the face-off event held at Premier Lodge, 4th Mile, Chümoukedima, on Friday.

The Apex Combat Championship, a mixed martial arts (MMA) event, will be held at Agri Expo, Diphupar, in Chümoukedima district, on Saturday starting from 4:30 pm.

The fighters were introduced during the face-off hosted by musician and proprietor of Musik-A, Alobo Naga, who is also one of the organisers of the championship along with MMA and fitness enthusiast Yarenthung Lotha and MMA fighter Chenithung Jami.

Two members of MMA India team, who will officiate the main event, were also introduced during the event.

The fighters, who have been training rigorously for the event, said that they were rearing to go for the combat.

The inaugural edition of ACC will feature several fighters from Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, New Delhi and the USA.

Two female kickboxers, Sentizungla Ozukum from Nagaland and Aasory Tamang from Assam will take on each other, while Nagaland’s pop sensation Renbeni Odyuo, representing The Fitness House, will spar with Assam’s model, actor and YouTuber, Leeza Basumatary, in an exhibition match.

It was earlier informed that tickets for the event are priced at INR 2000 for Area ‘A’ (sold out), INR 1500 for Area ‘B’ and INR 500 for general.
