FIA to participate in World Taekwondo Championship

After becoming the World Champions in Taekwondo Aerobic in 2014 at Pohang, South Korea, the Faith in Action Taekwondo Academy has selected 9 members from their Academy for the second time to represent India in upcoming World Hanmadang Taekwondo Championship from July 30 to August 2 at Pyeongtaek Sports Stadium, Pyeongtaek, South Korea.The competition is organized by Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarter every year where more than 150 countries participate. The 4 day mega event at South Korea is held with the aim to unify the world with Taekwondo.
The Faith in Action team will leave for South Korea on July 27 from Dimapur. The selected players and officials for the competition are Riyon Dutt Pandey, Ankit Chhetry, Lokeshwar Singh, Anish Chhetry, Mrinal Dutta, Bajrang Wankadhe, Sangeeta Pandey and Babita Chhetry. The Indian team will be led by Deep Kumar. The team members will compete in Sparring, Creative Poomsae, High Kick, Fist Breaking, Long Kick, Knife Hand Breaking and Back Kick breaking.
