FGN issues blanket ban on liquor, drugs, immoral activities

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]GN has imposed blanket ban on sale of liquor, drugs, immoral activities and other illegal businesses in UT- Dimapur and Nagaland, saying Nagaland is a Christian nation.
“We the Naga people solely and firmly believe in the belief of Christianity and our God Almighty. We are the people having been following the same footprints of our fore-bearers’ and patriots who did coined the very slogan “Nagaland for Christ”, which means to abide with the law of Christianity and its Churches, to stand and fight against all evils and free from all other social unwanted seeds that was sown be sieved from our society.”
Midan Peyu, UT-Dimapur, Toiho Tuccu in a release said, “By analysing and concerning very seriously about how our present society and Naga generation is heading by flummoxing themselves because of odd things and practices that is all available in our own door-steps. Therefore, the government, for brighter tomorrow, in the interest of the nation and to salvage our people from the point of no return, took up this stern decision to fight against the prevailing environment hovering around us that is on the verge to destroy our society and hence, the government classed the existing Naga society as “On Extreme Ledge”.“Therefore, in pursuance of the approval and endorsement to my office by the ‘Committee on Cabinet Affairs’ hereby issued this ‘Pre-information Notice’ to all the Naga general public for awareness to jointly check and root-out all forms of illegal practices in our land. Any person(s) /group(s)/ organisation(s) ignoring this call of nation’s duty will be dealt with an Iron Hand. Habitual defaulter(s) will be made known to the general public as an example (to award capital punishment).
The release said, the blanket ban will be operated under the command of “Operation Black Shadow” and shall come into effect on February 11. Apart from UT-Dimapur, this Ahza/order shall come into force to the entire Nagaland and shall be supervised by the respective Regional Midan Peyus in the case of Regions.
Blanket ban will be imposed on the illegal items and activities including 1. Liquor (IMFL): both Suppliers/Wholesalers and Retailers (booze joints).
2. Drugs: includes all illegal items amounting to addiction and harmful to health.
3. Prostitutions: includes all other immoral activities which are communicable and harmful to our society. Rapist(s) will be dealt on different platform.
4. Vehicle Theft: Vehicle thieve(s) will be treated with ‘Extraordinary Laws’ available for them.
All the concerned Naga citizens and organizations (NGO’s) have been requested by the Federal Government to co-operate with us and contact the government authority immediately through this No. 9856163363 when in need.
