DIMAPUR — The Political Science Association (PSA) of Fazl Ali College commemorated United Nations Day with its sixth annual lecture.

On the occasion, Dr. Sentikumla, assistant professor of law at Nagaland University, delivered a keynote address on "Situating rule of law in UN sustainable development goals," stated a press release.

In her speech, Dr. Sentikumla traced the origins of the UN and outlined the Development Decade goals. She provided an in-depth explanation of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasising the significance of rule of law (SDG 16) in achieving economic, social, and environmental sustainability globally.

Opangalanger Longkumer, fifth semester, and Temjenmerang Imchen, third semester, both students of political science honours, shared their experiences and insights from attending the North East India Model United Nations (NEIMUN) 2024.

The event, held at Don Bosco Institute in Dimapur, focused on UNSC Resolution 2250: "Youth, Peace, and Security."
