Father killed, son injured in landslide at Zunheboto

Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): An elderly man was killed, while his son was severely injured in a landslide at Xuivi village in Satakha area, Zunheboto on Wednesday.

According to the people residing in the area, the father-son duo decided to pull over to the side of the road and take rest inside the vehicle they were travelling in on the night of July 7 as it was getting dark and their car found difficult to move in the muddy road, when the landslide happened.

The source informed that the villagers went to the incident spot on learning about the landslide and found the duo while clearing the mud that had completely covered the road.

It was informed that the son, who sustained injuries in his right leg, informed the locals that the landslide occurred early on Wednesday morning.
