DIMAPUR — Kheghoto, FOCUS appointed progressive lead farmer, inaugurated the farmer’s toll free helpline number 6033958725 on Friday at the office of the district agriculture officer in Zunheboto.
The initiative was taken up to equip the farmers of Zunheboto district with technological assistance to aid them in conveying their grievances at one tap of their mobile phone, stated a DIPR report.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The district project officer, Dr. V Auto Yeputhomi, stated that the district management unit was privileged to have dedicated staff from different communities, educational and professional backgrounds. He, urged the farmers to utilise the platform efficiently by not only making calls but also by sharing images and videos of their grievances, success stories and production etc., so that the equipped staff could provide necessary technical assistance.
He further requested all the staff to sincerely coordinate and cooperate in addressing the issues raised by the concerned farmers.
A presentation was also made by Dr. Hutoka Y Jakha, award recipient of the FOCUS supported innovation fund, on his upcoming project, while Ghonili Zhimomi, synergy coordinator, highlighted on the formation of coffee and livestock-based farmers producers organization (FPO).
