Dimapur, Oct. 9 (EMN): Sub-divisional agriculture office (SDAO), Naginimora in Mon district, conducted a one-day awareness campaign on Pradhan Mantri Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY) on October 9.
An update from H Lawrence, SDAO Naginimora, stated that Menlom Phom, EAC Naginimora, who attended the programme as the special guest, has urged the farmers to avail the scheme and encouraged them to register under the programme.
Also speaking on the occasion, Lawrence, SDAO Naginimora, explained the guidelines and features of the scheme, while Pongmei Konyak, CSC manager, Naginimora, spoke on the registration process for the scheme.
Pradhan Mantri Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY) is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme for the entry group of 18-40 years. It provides an assured monthly pension of INR 3000 per month to all small and marginal farmers (SMFs) on attaining the age of 60 years with a monthly members contribution ranging from INR 55-200 as per the age of entry. Altogether, 70 farmers from Naginimora and surrounding villages attended the programme.
