DIMAPUR — The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Dhansiripar block, inaugurated a farm school on oilseed crops at Dhansiripar village on May 31.
Dr. Bendang Imsong, CTO, KVK, the resource person, expounded on the role of the faming system in increasing oilseed production, an update stated. She emphasised the importance of oilseed crops, which are the second most important determinant of the agriculture economy, next only to cereals.
She also explained the nutritive value of oilseeds in human diets, a potential crop with high nutritive value.
Livika K Zhimomi (BTM) briefed on the concept of farm school and its objectives. Devojit Nabey was appointed as the farm school teacher.
